WOMEN AND STUDENTS IN FARMING

Cultivating Sustainability
Support for female farmers
Support for them is crucial for ensuring food security, economic development, and gender equality. Many female farmers are single parents with young children, facing unique challenges that must be addressed. It’s important to provide these women with access to land, credit, training, and technology to help them increase their productivity and income.
Additionally, support in the form of childcare facilities or flexible working arrangements could enable single mothers to balance their farming responsibilities with caring for their children. This support is essential for empowering female farmers to become more self-reliant and economically independent while ensuring their families’ well-being.
Each ECO Park will set aside land and the support requirement for working mothers. The program will support those women requesting the training and financial support to become farmers and those who are required to work in the fields
Graduate Students
Eco parks can play a vital role in supporting agriculture graduates by offering them opportunities to apply their knowledge in sustainable farming practices as farmers or extension officers.
These graduates often face challenges in gaining practical experience and access to resources when starting their careers. ECO Parks will provide them with training, mentorship, and access to land and infrastructure, enabling them to develop and implement innovative and sustainable farming techniques.
Furthermore, assistance in accessing funding, marketing their products, and navigating regulations can help agriculture graduates establish successful and environmentally responsible businesses.
By supporting agriculture graduates in this way, eco parks contribute to the growth of a new generation of farmers who are equipped to address the challenges of modern agriculture while promoting environmental conservation and sustainable development.
